Our black diamond watermelons are finally getting the sun and heat they deserve lately and have been loving life. We were worried because they were soooo slow growing. It seems as if we are past the slow growing and in a bit of a growth spurt as sorts. Check them out… I can already taste these giant watermelons… MMMmMmMm.
My Mother bought this plant a few years back and she cannot remember what it is for the life of her. This is where you guys & gals come in. I will show some pics down below and then you can bounce it off your friends, visitors and all that - until we can finally figure this thing out.
So here goes nothing… and thanks in advance for those of you that work at trying to figure it out.
There was a time, if you remember – when we didn’t even know what these plants were. Then after some discussions and some help from the intra-webs… we found out they were 4 O’Clocks. I am glad we didn’t murder them out like we thought we would – since they bloomed this Memorial Day Weekend. After a loooooooooong wait, they do look great. Enjoy.
