Most of the framers there would grow only black diamond watermelons. The black diamond water melon is the only watermelon I will eat. NO other watermelon can even compare to the black diamond watermelon. So when I left TX and joined the AF I have not had any other type of watermelon. Cause the black diamond if the ONLY watermelon I will eat. If I can't have a black diamond watermelon no other will do. When I was growing up in the Lubbock area of TX.
