Of course you have, everyone is talking about them these days.  Fox news, CNN, New York Times… everyone.  There hasn’t been this much talk about outdoor chefs… since all those turkey fires when frying a turkey became “cool”.

The BBQ Addicts are a group of Q-ers that are actually members of the Burt Finger BBQ group – a group that holds their own with anyone known for BBQ.  In fact, they beat up on fellow BBQers at competitions… so beware.  haha

Anyhow – I come to you today not to blow their horn, well kinda… but more to bring you my next thing to master on the grill – the BACON EXPLOSION.  Yup… get ready for a cardiac arrest via pork parts.

Last night we had a quiet night, well… I say quiet, we actually did a bunch of work.  Then afterwards we ate and collapsed on the couch.  My wonderful wife got me a laptop for X-mas (I think it is because she didn’t want me using hers anymore), so I was on my laptop and she was on hers.  We are nerds like that.

So we are chilling, nerding out and I have been working on a post which is basically a recap of last year and so I started reading Double Danger from the beginning (Jan. of last year) and realized that I actually had forgot most of it and really enjoyed reading it.  I would read a post out loud to Shala and we would laugh, then I would find another and read it.  This went on for a while, then I just read to myself pretty much up to present day.

Now I haven’t ever done this, I’m sure most of you have – but it was kind of cool.  Lots of the stuff I had forgot, some made me laugh, some seemed forced.  Overall though, I was impressed.  Watching it grow, watching it change into what it is today.

Ladies… you knew it was on its way.  Your man has been talking about Brett Favre again.  He has been trying to get all those chores done you have been bugging him about since Spring.  He has been shining his **Insert favorite team name here** beer mug and brushing off the dust that has settled on his favorite “lucky” cap.

Football is here.  Like it or not.

Personally… I like it.    But I’m a dude.

If you are one of the lucky ones that gets to hit up the first game of the season and spend some time tailgating – then you can use these tips for your tailgating (that I am sure you will be doing).  If you are like the rest of us and are forced to watch the opening week on TV, then you can use these tips when your entertaining your friends with an Opening Day BBQ SPECTACULAR! haha  or something like that.
