Garden Giveaway #5: Vintage Spoon Plant Markers

This one is going to be a hit, I’m telling you – A  HIT!  We scoured Etsy to find the store of JLynn Creations, and her AWESOME Vintage Spoon Plant Markers.  Now hold up… Jacquie doesn’t just do these plant markers… she makes unique custom jewelry as well.  So even though this particular giveaway is for gardening goodies, don’t hesitate to check out her store and pick something up for any occasion.

BUT… this is a giveaway of gardening goodies – and that IS what it is all about.  So for today, let’s focus on these Custom Vintage Spoon Plant Markers.  Check it out first… then we’ll talk.

Vintage Spoon Plant Markers

JLynn Creations - Vintage Spoon Garden Markers

Pretty cool eh?  We thought so.  So here is the real kicker – they will make your plants grow bigger.  Seriously.  Not really.  I made that up, but the real kicker is that Jacquie has agreed to make them custom for the winner.  What that means is – you shouldn’t have any wasted markers, or have to buy more seeds/plants in order to use a marker.  If you weren’t planning on planting basil BECAUSE YOU KILL IT EVERY YEAR… ahem… then you don’t have to just to use your brand new vintage (wait a second…) spoon plant marker.

The winner will pick the 4 names to put on the markers – and she will make them for you like you were some superstar or something.  Which you are… really, you are.  How’s that for service?

I’m betting if you contacted JLynn Creations, she would make a whole batch of custom plant markers for you – I’m just guessing.  Go ask her already!  GO!  DO IT!

You should know how to enter now, fill your name/email address in the comments section and then tomorrow we will pull a winner out of a hat.  Well, not really a hat.  More like a random number generator.  Wearing a hat.  This isn’t making a lot of sense is it?  Oh well, these giveaways are starting to get to me… they are making me CRAZY!  Tell your friends!  Tell your neighbors… wait, not that I’m crazy – but about the contest.  Tell them about JLynn Creations and how you found some one-of-a-kind plant markers.

Until next time… good luck & good gardening!

PS – oh yeah… these things are all one of a kind.  All are silver plated vintage spoons, so they are all different, worn in their own way… each one is stamped by hand/hammer and so each one is different.  As they are in the garden, they will oxidize over time and become even cooler.  If you are one of those people that like ‘em shiny – a simple polish up like any other silverware – and they are shiny again.  I felt like I should talk a bit more about the product, since I just kinda rambled like an idiot.  That is ALL!

Ready For Some Giveaways?!?

If some of you remember last year, if you haven’t killed those brain cells by now – we did a week of giveaways to kick off National Gardening Month.  It went well, we gave away a ton of goodies.  Everything from gloves, compost teas, paintings, books… just a bunch of cool stuff!

Well this year we have been working hard to get even cooler stuff, and MORE of it!  So not only do we have cooler gardening goodies – but we have A WHOLE HELL OF A LOT OF THEM TO GIVE AWAY!

We will start this tomorrow (Thursday, April 1st), and no… it isn’t an April’s Fools prank… IT IS THE REAL DEAL… seriously.  Maybe.  ;)

No, it really is seriously the biggest giveaways we have ever had here and we cannot wait to bless our readers with some awesome gardening swag.  I already know the next question…

How do we win?!?  I WANT THE FREE STUFF!

It is easy-peasy.  Just simply come here each day and enter (only once per person, per giveaway – and if you win… please leave the rest of the giveaways for the other folks) – then the following day, we will post the winner.  Just like we did last year.  Even if you are not a winner, you will get a chance to see some awesome products and I’m sure there will be some coupon codes floating around that you can use/share.

Here is what we ask in return for all of this.  If you have a blog, link us up – let everyone know about our giveaways.  We hope to inspire a new clan of gardeners from this.  Each year we hear stories of new people gardening because of something they found on our site, and to be honest… that is why we do it.  If we motivate a few people each year, we feel we are making a difference in this world.  I know, I know… it sounds cheesy, and it is in some sort of way – but it is what it is.  We love doing it, and if it takes some work on our end to wrangle up some goodies for a yearly giveaway to inspire someone – we will gladly do it.

In other words… SPREAD THE WORD!  TELL YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR COUSINS – YOUR COUSINS’ FRIENDS – THEIR VETS, THE LADY ACROSS THE STREET – HER DAUGHTER… this is getting ridiculous.  I’ll stop.   At some point.  Tomorrow.  I just did.  For reals now.  Ok.  Enough.

Taking The Garden Inside (Decorating With Your Garden Pictures)

So this Winter, since we couldn’t garden… or BBQ… we decided to brighten up our home w/ some of our best gardening pictures.  At first we were just printing pictures of family and such, which is cool & all.   You know sweet pictures, ones of Grandma(s) w/ their Grandchildren or Sister-in-law(s) w/ beers.

But as we started looking at our pictures we quickly realized…

We might love our garden more than our family.

Or at least you would think so based our Flickr account.

Anyhow… so why fight it right?  So we printed an equal amount of garden pictures and family pictures.  Just so you can see how cool the garden pictures turned out – we snapped a pic before hanging them.  Check it out…

Pictures of our garden.

Pretty cool eh?  I bet some of you remember them, and if not – you can print your own from our stash by hitting up our Flickr account.  We don’t mind.  Just send us lots of money and free stuff.  You know you want to.

The whole point of this post was to tell you to use your garden photos to spruce up your home.  Why pay for someone else’s, when you can use your own!

P.S. – if you are a gardener… or just like free sh!t – check in next week when we start giving away some gardening goodies to our readers.  Stay tuned!
