Our black diamond watermelons are finally getting the sun and heat they deserve lately and have been loving life. We were worried because they were soooo slow growing. It seems as if we are past the slow growing and in a bit of a growth spurt as sorts. Check them out… I can already taste these giant watermelons… MMMmMmMm.
When I was growing up in the Lubbock area of TX. Most of the framers there would grow only black diamond watermelons. The black diamond water melon is the only watermelon I will eat. NO other watermelon can even compare to the black diamond watermelon. So when I left TX and joined the AF I have not had any other type of watermelon. Cause the black diamond if the ONLY watermelon I will eat. If I can’t have a black diamond watermelon no other will do.
