It is cloudy and cold today in our part of the world so I thought that I would post some pictures of green to remind us that spring is still just around the corner.
Baby potatoes finally emerging. I don’t think that we got them planted early enough, but maybe we will harvest a few.
We ate our first salad from the Aerogarden on Sunday. The greens were crisp and yummy. Sorry about the picture, the lighting in our kitchen isn’t so great. The greens are much brighter and healthy looking in person.
This picture was taken right before I snipped some for our salads. When I looked at it this morning I couldn’t even tell where the greens had been cut. I’m just amazed at how fast this stuff grows!
The tomato and pepper seedlings are doing great. We planted quite a few and already have family making dibs on which plants they want. It is nice to be able to provide the family with some fresh veggies and I think that we even talked my dad into building his own raised bed.
Those Aerogarden greens do look good! And you certainly couldn’t get more organic than that, eh?
Awwww!! Thank you for brightening up my rainy, snowy, windy, sleety day here in Maine with your lovely green plants! I just discovered some seeds are starting to germinate last night on my seed racks, so I’ll some green of my own soon!
I’d love to try the Aerogarden some time, but I know my cats would help themselves before we get a chance to!
Thanks for sharing. Happy growing!
